Describe the relationships between the class theme and the story. What makes Humanity and the story Identities relate? The stories Identity proves that there are some things in human nature that we just do, whether we like to or not. For example, most humans are prejudice. We look at a someone with tattered clothes, sitting on the street, and say they’re homeless. We look at someone with a Ferrari and automatically assume they are rich. We all base stuff on the way it looks, but it would depend on the person’s perspective. One may look someone with straight B’s on his report card, but another with straight A’s, may look at the kid with straight B’s and say he’s not too bright. The previous sentence connects because if the “gang” members approached the man, they might have thought the man was one of the “gang” members. When the man approached the police officer, the man looked suspicious, so the police officer held him at gunpoint. Overall, the story Identities really shows what Humanity may be like.
